The Union’s State Committee of Management has called a Special General Meeting for 1000 hours Monday 28 April at the Trades Hall Auditorium Sussex Street Sydney. The meeting has been called to brief delegates on the Departments claim on our wages and conditions and to map out the Union’s plan to progress the campaign.
• Sydney North West – The Sydney North-West Sub-Branch meeting will be held at No. 97 Station, Huntingwood commencing 1000 hours on Wednesday 23 April. • Sydney South West – The Sydney South-West Sub-Branch meeting will be held at No. 8 Station, Liverpool commencing 1400 hours on Wednesday 23 April. • Illawarra - The Illawarra Sub-Branch will meet at No. 503 Station, Wollongong commencing 1800 hours on Wednesday 23 April. • Newcastle – The Newcastle Sub-Branch will meet at No. 260 Station, Newcastle commencing 1000 hours on Thursday 24 April. • Central Coast - The Central Coast Sub-Branch will meet at No. 228 Station, Berkeley Vale commencing 1400 hours on Thursday 24 April. • Sydney SGM - The central Sydney SGM will be held at the Trades Hall Auditorium, Goulburn Street Sydney, commencing 1000 hours on Monday 28 April. • Fire Stations –meetings may be held locally at any fire station prior to 0900 hours Monday 28 April, provided that: a) notice of intention to hold a local meeting has been given to the State Secretary by no later than 5pm Thursday 24 April; and b) a quorum of at least 7 financial Union members will be physically present for the duration of each meeting; and c) the vote from each meeting is forwarded to the State Secretary prior to 0900 hours Monday 28 April in order to be added to the total SGM vote.
Delegates Meeting
The Union has also called a delegates meeting for 1000 hours Tuesday 22 April at the Union office 1-7 Belmore Street Surry Hills. This meeting will be used to fully brief delegates on the content of the Departments claims and what it means for our job.
If you don’t have a delegate or they can’t make it you are strongly urged to send a representative along – lunch will be provided. This wage campaign will need the active participation of all members if we are to win a decent result.
Mayday Rally
All members and families are invited to the Union’s Mayday rally drinks and lunch 9:30 am Saturday 3rd May. Members should meet at 9 am at the Convention Centre Darling Harbour.
